Wanna Lose Weight? Buy a Mirror

Mirrors can be magical. When you look into a mirror do you see a true reflection? Well no. Evidence clearly demonstrates that we see a reflection closer to want we want to see rather than a true image.  For example, overweight people see a slimmer reflection and anorexics see a much larger body in their reflection. But it doesn’t stop there.
Whenever we look into a mirror not only do we see the physical reflection we want to see but we also see a reflection of our values and beliefs. Mirrors in public building and shops reduce shoplifting because we don’t like to see ourselves stealing things as we know the difference between right and wrong and don’t want to see ourselves doing wrong.
A similar thing happens in the kitchen. People who put a mirror in their kitchen tend to snack a lot less and ‘raid the fridge’ for bits or cheese or whatever a lot less. So, wanna lose weight ? Buy a large mirror and place it in the kitchen where you can see yourself eating and/or raiding the  fridge.
